Jose Morillo Identified in Fatal Midland Crash on Industrial Avenue

 
MIDLAND, TX (February 28, 2023) – The Midland Police Department identified 39-year-old Jose Alfredo Somo-ZA Morillo as the victim who died in a car crash in the 3600 block of West Industrial Avenue on February 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 4:21 PM. Based on a report, Morillo was driving a Honda Civic east on Industrial Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, his vehicle swerved into the other lane, went into on-coming traffic, and collided with a Ford F250.
 
As a result, Morillo suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the Ford F-250 had non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, officials continue to investigate the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
