PALMDALE, CA (May 15, 2023) – Officers identified 31-year-old Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares as the one who died in a hit-and-run on 20th Street on May 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Avenue N around 11:19 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck Gonzalez-Olivares on the road and left the scene.
 
Subsequently, witnesses said a gray Honda Civic with a missing front bumper drove away from the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
 
As a result, officers found and pronounced Gonzalez-Olivares dead at the scene.
