According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Woody was backing out of the driveway when her girlfriend fell in the road.
Police said a neighbor was in his front yard telling Woody to stop, but the suspect ran over the woman with her front tires. Subsequently, she stopped and ran the victim over with the back tires before leaving the scene.

Later on, officers approached Woody’s car in a parking lot near 51st Avenue and Bethany Home Road. They found her in the driver’s seat with a 5-year-old child in the back seat. She told officers she was just trying to leave the house and thought it was the bump from the driveway.
