Jorge Clemente Booked after Fatal Houston Crash on 10 Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (February 15, 2024) – The Houston Police Department arrested 21-year-old Jorge Clemente after a fatal motorcycle crash in the 10600 block of 10 Freeway on February 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:00 PM. Based on a report, Clemente was driving a red Dodge Durango in the left emergency lane at a high rate of speed.
 
Witnesses said the vehicle was weaving between lanes before the crash. When it crossed over from the emergency lane, it hit a blue Suzuki V-Storm motorcycle which was also traveling westbound on the freeway. The impact ejected the 34-year-old male motorcyclist from his vehicle, who was then struck by the Durango.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews took Clemente to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officers arrested and booked him into jail after he showed signs of impairment.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
