Gustavo Herrera and Jonathan Gideon Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Granbury
PARKER COUNTY, TX (January 15, 2024) – Officials identified 39-year-old Jonathan Gideon and 33-year-old Gustavo Herrera, both Fort Worth residents, who died in a crash on Highway 377 on January 7.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:30 AM. Based on a report, Gideon was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway before the crash.
Subsequently, he collided with Herrera’s vehicle head-on.
As a result, Gideon and Herrera suffered grave injuries and both died at the scene.
A 10-year-old passenger in Herrera’s GMC Sierra was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital via LifeCare. The victim’s condition was not yet known.
DPS did not release what led Gideon to be in the wrong lane.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
