Jon Heuvel Involved in Accident with Patrol Car in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 3, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department arrested 54-year-old Jon Heuvel after an accident on Cave Creek Road on October 1.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Grovers Avenue around 3:00 AM. Based on a report, Phoenix police patrol officers were driving north on Cave Creek Road prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Heuvel drove his vehilce into a patrol car. Officers attempted to avoid the crash, but Heuvel still hit them. The suspect continued driving south, leaving the scene.
 
Officers were able to follow Heuvel and took him to custody. They booked him into jail on a DUI charge.
