COLEMAN, TX (October 2, 2022) – Police identified John Ortiz and Rogelio Espinoza as the victims who died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 84 on September 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before 4:30 PM. Based on a report, a 72-year-old woman from Coleman was driving a 2017 Nissan Frontier north on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she steered left across the center divider. Subsequently, the truck collided with a 2004 and a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycles head-on.
 
As a result, the riders – 40-year-old Ortiz of Lake Charles, Louisiana and 42-year-old Rogelio Espinoza of San Antonio – Texas died in the incident.
 
The pickup driver sustained incapacitating injuries.
