Go-Kart Rider Seriously Injured in Colorado Springs Accident, John King Arrested

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 27, 2023) – The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested 49-year-old John King after a go-kart accident on Constitution Avenue on April 2.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened between Chelton Road around 1:40 PM. Based on a report, King’s pickup truck was towing the go-kart prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the go-kart flipped. A witness told police that King picked up the go-kart rider and left the scene.
 
Police later located and arrested King in relation to this incident.
 
They also found and transported the rider to the hospital with serious injuries.
 
Police said speed and drugs are suspected of being factors in the crash.
