Joel Fraustro Identified in Fatal Houston Crash
HOUSTON, TX (January 13, 2025) – The Houston Police Department identified 48-year-old Joel Fraustro who died in a high-speed crash in the 4500 block of Neal Street on December 31.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Glenview Drive at approximately 10:30 AM. Based on a report, Fraustro was a passenger in a silver Lexus LS-430 traveling north on the road at a high rate of speed before the crash.
The driver of the Lexus collided with a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Glenview Drive. The impact caused the Silverado to spin and come to rest in the front yard of a residence. At the same time, the Lexus spun around and struck the house.
As a result, Fraustro suffered grave injuries and died at an area hospital.
Emergency crews took the driver of the Silverado to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Lexus, a 37-year-old, fled on foot but was later arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
