Jimmy Gonzalez Identified in Fatal Rollover Accident on FM 50 in Mumford

 
MUMFORD, TX (July 5, 2023) – Officials identified 33-year-old Jimmy Gonzalez of Bryan who died in a rollover accident on FM 50 on June 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 9:35 AM. Based on the report, the victim was driving a 2007 Western Star 18-wheeler at an unsafe speed southbound on the road.
 
As the vehicle approached for a curve in the roadway, it overturned and struck the railroad berm.
 
As a result, Gonzalez suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews transported his 14-year-old male passenger to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
