JAMESTOWN, CA (June 6, 2023) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified 40-year-old Jesus Rubio of Modesto who died in a crash on May 28.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Rubio was driving a 2009 GMC Yukon at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.

When he approached the roundabout, he made an unsafe turning movement to the right. Subsequently, the Yukon struck a metal light pole and rolled multiple times through the traffic circle at the roundabout. The impact then ejected Rubio from the vehicle.
