Jessica Wright Killed in Crash on 90 Freeway in Spokane

 
SPOKANE, WA (September 28, 2023) – Officers identified 32-year-old Jessica Wright who died in a crash on 90 Freeway on September 24.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near the Thomas Mallen Road around 9:00 PM. Based on a report, 23-year-old Philip Garcia of Spokane was driving eastbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he moved into the second lane and collided with another car that Wright was in. That car rolled and came to rest on its side while Garcia’s car ended up in the median.
 
As a result, Wright suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
WSP said speed was the cause of the crash and arrested Garcia.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
