Jerry Tanksley Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Point Fosdick Drive in Gig Harbor
GIG HARBOR, WA (December 29, 2023) – The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 57-year-old Jerry Tanksley who died in a pedestrian accident in the 4800 block of Point Fosdick Drive on December 19.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 6:00 AM. Based on a report, Tanksley was wearing dark clothing and was in the lane of travel.
Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle struck him. It was not clear whether Tanksley was standing in the lane or trying to cross the road.
As a result, Tanksley suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to Tacoma General Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle was a 54-year-old woman.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
