Jerrison Moore Killed in Coahoma Bicycle Accident

 
COAHOMA, TX (January 16, 2025) — A 39-year-old man, Jerrison Moore, died in a bicycle accident on Saturday, January 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at about 11:38 p.m. on 20 Freeway Service Road near Mile Marker 187.
 
Texas DPS said Moore rode a bicycle westbound on 20 Freeway Service Road between Apache Street and Swinney Street. Then a 2001 Ford ZX2 driven by 18-year-old Joshua Eilenberger struck him.
 
Emergency responders brought Moore to Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Eilenberger, the driver of the Ford, did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
 
Authorities later reported that Moore wore dark clothing and did not wear a helmet. In addition, they said he did not have lighting on the bike or other safety gear on his bicycle.
 
The DPS continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
