NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (October 16, 2023) – Officials identified 44-year-old Jeremy Stone of Nacogdoches who died in a hit-and-run on Highway 103 on October 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision around 8:59 PM. Based on a report, Stone was walking west along the outer lane of the highway at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, 39-year-old Tara Lyons was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe west. Due to unknown reasons, Lyons hit Stone and fled the scene afterward.
 
As a result, Stone suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Officers arrested and charged Lyons with intoxication manslaughter.
