WARDEN, WA (February 16, 2024) — Authorities identified 36-year-old Jeremiah T. Gregg, of Moses Lake, as the man killed in a crash on Sunday.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Highway 17 near Milepost 41 north of Othello at 1:53 a.m. on Sunday, February 4.

WSP said Gregg traveled northbound in a 2021 Ford F150 pickup on the highway. Then he rear-ended a 1989 Toyota Camry.

The impact caused Gregg’s pickup to go onto the northbound shoulder and rollover. Then it came to rest on its roof. WSP noted he did not wear a seatbelt.

According to WSP, the Camry came to rest on the southbound shoulder. The driver got out of the car and fled the scene.

As of writing, WSP continues to investigate whether alcohol or drugs contributed as a factor in the incident.

The WSP is still searching for the driver of the Camry. There are pending charges against that driver.
