Jeffrey Spiekerman Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 12 in Naches

 
NACHES, WA (August 23, 2023) – Officials identified 58-year-old Jeffrey G. Spiekerman of Vancouver who died in a crash on Highway 12 on August 7.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Rimrock Lake around 2:35 PM. Based on a report, Spiekerman was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a trailer east on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
He was passing several vehicles when he lost control, left the roadway and crashed.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
His passenger, 57-year-old Darcy D. Spiekerman, was taken to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital in fair condition.
 
Officers attributed the crash to improper passing.
