PHOENIX, AZ (January 3, 2024) – Authorities identified 63-year-old James Thomas who died in a hit-and-run on 35th Avenue on December 24.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Northern Avenue just before 3:30 AM. Based on a report, Thomas was riding his bicycle along Northern Avenue before the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
 
As a result, Thomas suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
 
No suspects have been identified and police ask anyone with information to contact Phoenix police at 480-WITNESS.
