James Soliz Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Head-On Crash in Corpus Christi

 
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (September 22, 2022) – Police identified James Soliz as the victim who was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Holly Road.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Rodd Field Road on September 17.
 
Based on a report, Soliz was driving down on Holly when he saw headlights approaching him. As a response, he held down the horn, slammed the brakes, and tried to get out of the way. However, a dark pickup truck hit him head-on and the vehicle continued driving away from the scene.
 
As a result, Soliz was hurt in the incident. Luckily, his vehicle’s dashcam captured the incident, giving Corpus Christi Police Department officers a view of the incident.
 
As of now, police will use that video to try and track down the truck’s driver of the truck. In addition, officers ask anyone with information on the crash to call the CCPD hit-and-run section or to call CrimeStoppers.
