One Struck and Killed by James Corpuz on West Mississippi Avenue in Denver

 
DENVER, CO (April 29, 2024) – The Denver Police Department arrested 56-year-old James Corpuz after a fatal pedestrian accident on West Mississippi Avenue on April 15.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at South Irving Street just after 4:30 PM. Based on a report, Corpuz was driving a truck at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he hit a man who was spraying bug spray outside his house.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
A witness said Corpuz tried to run from the incident but another man grabbed a big rock to throw into his window tonstop him. Police responded and took the suspect into custody on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
