Jaime Ramos Killed in Seguin Head-On Accident

 
SEGUIN, TX (December 19, 2023) — One person identified as 55-year-old Jaime Ramos died in a head-on crash on Thursday, December 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on Highway 123 just south of FM 1101 near Malmsten Road at around 5:00 p.m.
 
Officials determined during the initial investigation that a red 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt drove on the wrong side of the road for unknown reasons in a no-passing zone. Then it collided with a white 2023 Nissan Kicks.
 
Firefighters freed the trapped driver of the Nissan Kicks. After that, medical responders administered medical treatment to him. However, he still succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Texas Department of Public Safety identified him as Jaime Ramos.
 
Crews from San Marcos Hays County EMS transported the 73-year-old Kicks driver to Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle with unknown injuries. They have not released his identity.
 
Troopers continue to investigate the collision.
