Isaiah Banuelos Dead after Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident on Bruce Woodbury Beltway

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 29, 2024) — A rider identified as 17-year-old Isaiah Banuelos died after a motorcycle accident on Thursday, August 15.
 
According to Nevada State Police, the crash happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Bruce Woodbury Beltway between Aliante Parkway and Decatur Boulevard.
 
NSP said the crash started when a motorcycle driven by Banuelos weaved through traffic at a high rate of speed. Then Banuelos saw the slowing traffic ahead. He braked heavily which led the bike to overturn and eject him.
 
After that, the motorcycle crashed into the back of a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup. The Dodge then rotated counterclockwise. It made a controlled stop on the left shoulder of westbound I215.
 
Emergency responders pronounced Banuelos dead on the scene.
 
The driver of the Dodge pickup stayed in the area, police said.
 
Officers closed all Bruce Woodbury Beltway travel lanes westbound from Aliante Parkway to Decatur Boulevard for several hours.
 
The investigation of the crash is still ongoing.
