Robert Tobler, Isabel Morales Die in Spicewood Car Accident

 
SPICEWOOD, TX (May 29, 2024) — Two people, Isabel Jiminez Morales and Robert Byers Tobler, died in a car accident on Thursday, May 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Highway 71 in Burnet County.
 
DPS troopers said a 2017 Ford F150 and a 2022 Ford F150 crashed at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road 401.
 
The passenger in the 2017 Ford F150 identified as 51-year-old Isabel Jiminez Morales, died at the scene. Marbles Falls EMS personnel transported the driver to St. David’s South Austin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the newer model Ford F150 also died on the scene. They identified him as 70-year-old Robert Byers Tobler, from Cottonwood Shores,
 
Authorities believe the wet road conditions from severe weather contributed as a factor in the incident.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
