PHOENIX, AZ (March 4, 2025) — Officials reported minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway on Friday, February 28.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. on 10 Freeway, near the Salt River Bridge overpass.
 
Authorities reported that the incident involved a Hyundai SUV and a Tesla in the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway. Investigators said the Tesla struck a pole and rolled over. Then it caught fire after the impact.
 
Emergency crews responded to the scene. Then they confirmed minor injuries were sustained in the incident and treated those involved.
 
Due to the crash and vehicle fire, DPS temporarily closed several westbound lanes on 10 Freeway to allow emergency crews to clear the scene safely. As a result, it impacted traffic for a short period. They reopened all affected lanes shortly after noon.
 
Authorities have not released further details on what may have led to the collision.
