80-Year-Old Ida Schulz Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 351 in Abilene

 
ABILENE, TX (September 29, 2022) – Police identified 80-year-old Ida Schulz as the victim who was fatally struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of Highway 351.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision on September 22.
 
Based on a report, the woman was pushing a shopping basket on the highway at the time of the crash. When she stopped to pick up something she had dropped, a car that was backing out of a parking space struck her.
 
As a result, the impact caused Schulz to hit her head. The Abilene Police Department confirmed she died in the incident.
