Hunter Creel Identified in Fatal Car Crash on FM 563 in Wallisville
WALLISVILLE, TX (September 15, 2023) – Officials identified 21-year-old Hunter Ethan Creel of Hardin who died in a crash on FM 563 on September 5.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 5:00 AM. Based on a report, Creel was driving a 2020 Kia Rio passenger north on the road prior to the crash.
At the same time, 30-year-old Leteddrick Mathis of Somerville was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup south on the same road. Due to unknown reasons, Mathis traveled into the northbound lane and struck the Kia.
As a result, Creel suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to Memorial Hermann, where he later died.
Crews also rushed Mathis to Memorial Hermann for treatment.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
