Adrienne Garza Killed, Juan Torres Arrested in DUI Accident on Trenton Road [Edinburg, TX]

Adrienne Garza Identified in Fatal Edinburg Crash with Suspected DUI Driver Juan Torres

 
EDINBURG, TX (September 15, 2023) – The Edinburg Police Department identified 26-year-old Adrienne Anna Garza who died in a DUI crash on Trenton Road on September 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at Closner Boulevard around 2:09 AM. Based on a report, Garza was inside a white BMW traveling near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, 27-year-old Juan Pablo Torres was driving a white Chevrolet Silverado. Due to unknown reasons, Torres ran a red light and hit the victim’s BMW.
 
As a result, Garza suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
A man inside the BMW was also taken to a Doctors Hospital at Renaissance for treatment of injuries.
 
Officers charged Torres with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to a release from the Edinburg Police Department.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
