Pedestrian Injured in Denver Hit-and-Run on East Colfax Avenue in Denver
DENVER, CO (September 4, 2024) – The Denver Police Department is now looking for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian accident on East Colfax Avenue on August 11.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at North Ulster Street around 1:40 AM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was crossing East Colfax Avenue prior to the crash.
At the same time, a car was traveling westbound on the same road. Due to unknown reasons, the car collided with the pedestrian and fled the scene.
As a result, the victim suffered a serious head injury. Emergency crews transported the person to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators are searching for the gray, full-sized SUV similar to a Nissan Armada and its driver. Police said the car may have minor damage to the front bumper and grill area. They ask anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
