Hector Garcia Arrested in Fatal Accident on Highway 360 [Grand Prairie, TX]

Suspected DUI Driver Hector Garcia Involved in Fatal Grand Prairie Accident

 
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (October 30, 2024) – Grand Prairie police arrested 20-year-old Hector Garcia following a fatal DUI accident in the 4500 block of South Highway 360 on October 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:40 AM. Based on a report, Garcia was driving a GMC SUV north on the highway before the crash.
 
At the same time, a Toyota passenger car with hazard lights on was traveling in the same direction. Due to unknown reasons, the GMC crashed into the back of the slower moving Toyota.
 
As a result, the Toyota’s driver died at the scene. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Police arrested Garcia for intoxication manslaughter. He is now being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
