Hayden Fisher Killed, Ethan Lockwood and Augustus Ugaldea Injured in Crash on Highway 97 [Orondo, WA]

Hayden Fisher Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 97 in Orondo

 
ORONDO, WA (July 31, 2024) – Officials identified 20-year-old Hayden Fisher of Bonney who died in a fiery crash on Highway 97 on July 13.
 
The Washington State Patrol said Fisher was driving a vehicle southbound on the highway before the crash.
 
At the same time, 32-year-old Ethan Lockwood of Wenatchee was traveling northbound. Due to unknown reasons, Fisher crossed the center lane and struck Lockwood. The impact caused Fisher’s vehicle to catch fire.
 
Subsequently, both vehicles came to rest partially blocking the northbound lane.
 
As a result, Fisher suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews took him to Central Washington Hospital, where he died.
 
His passenger, 19-year-old Spokane resident Augustus Ugaldea, sustained non-fatal injuries.
 
Lockwood also sustained nonfatal injuries. Crews took him to Central Washington Hospital for treatment.
 
It’s unclear if Fisher was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
