Hasa Johnson Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (January 18, 2024) The Tucson Police Department identified 38-year-old Hasa Johnson who died in a pedestrian accident on East 22nd Street on January 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Craycroft Road. Based on the report, Johnson was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 2003 Mazda 6 that had a green traffic signal struck him.
 
As a result, Johnson suffered grave injuries in the incident. The Office of the Medical Examiner notified police that the victim had died a day after.
 
The driver, a 64-year-old man, stayed at the crash scene. Police said impairment was not a factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
