TYLER, TX (February 26, 2025) – A Good Samaritan bystander was injured following a DUI crash on East Southeast Loop 323 and Paluxy Drive on Sunday evening, February 16.
 
According to the Tyler Police Department, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m.
 
Reports indicated that two vehicles figured in a crash, for reasons unknown. A bystander, then, came to help the people involved in the incident.
 
Then, another vehicle, whose driver was allegedly intoxicated, struck the back of the cars.
 
The bystander suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
 
The driver accused of drunk driving was arrested on a DWI charge.
 
Investigation into the incident remains open and active.
