Gonzalo Ramirez Killed in Garden City Pedestrian Accident

 
GARDEN CITY, TX (July 31, 2023) — A 50-year-old Garden City man identified as Gonzalo Antonio Ramirez died in a pedestrian accident on County Road 125 on July 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, they received reports of the crash at about 9:22 a.m. Troopers responded to the scene of the crash on CR 125, approximately four miles south of Garden City.
 
Investigators said there was a 2015 Chrysler 300 parked on the east shoulder of CR 125. Then the driver of a 2008 GMC Sierra moving northbound lost control and veered off the roadway.
 
Then the GMC Sierra hit the Chrysler. After that, it also struck Ramirez, who was standing nearby. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the GMC was not hurt by the incident.
 
The Texas Department of Public Safety handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.
