Siblings Sofia Rocha, Kayla Rocha, and Mauricio Rocha Die in Laredo Car Crash

 
LAREDO, TX (July 31, 2023) — Three siblings, identified as Sofia Rocha, Kayla Rocha, and Mauricio Rocha, died in a car crash on Monday, July 24.
 
According to the Laredo Police Department, the three-vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Cuatro Vientos Boulevard and Aguanieve Drive.
 
Police said that siblings, 6-year-old Sofia Rocha, 7-year-old Kayla Rocha, and 9-year-old Mauricio Rocha died in the accident.
 
The siblings were in a Chevy Traverse SUV driven by their mother, 30-year-old Sarai Juarez. Paramedics then transported Juarez to the hospital with critical injuries.
 
Police said the deceased children were Centeno Elementary School students.
 
Officers described the other vehicles in the crash as a white Ford Expedition and a red Toyota Rav 4. There were three young adults and a 4-year-old boy inside the Toyota. All of them sustained critical injuries.
 
Police said the sole occupant of the Ford, a 33-year-old driver, was not hurt.
