GLENDALE, AZ (June 12, 2024) — A Glendale officer sustained injuries in a traffic accident on 95th Avenue on Friday, May 31.
 
According to the Glendale Police Department, the crash happened near 95th Avenue and Glendale Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday.
 
Officials said a rideshare driver illegally stopped. He also let passengers out in an unsafe location. Then the door of the rideshare vehicle hit a Glendale officer. It resulted in the officer hitting another vehicle,
 
The officer sustained a gash on his leg. Yet, he is expected to be okay.
 
All drivers stayed at the scene and authorities cited the rideshare driver.
