George Evans Identified in Fatal Wrong-Way Crash in Houston
HOUSTON, TX (October 30, 2024) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office identified George Evans who died in a head-on crash on West Little York Road on October 16.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Eldridge Parkway at approximately 3:00 AM. Based on a report, Evans was driving a red Nissan down West Little York Road before the crash.
At the same time, a 16-year-old boy was driving a silver Honda the wrong way on the same road. Due to the boy’s driving, the Honda and the Nissan had collided.
As a result, Evans suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
Paramedics rescued the boy from his vehicle. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Officials said the teen did not display signs of intoxication, but they believe speed was a factor in the crash. The sheriff’s office will present the case to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for potential charges.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
We offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family and friends of George Evans.
