71-Year-Old Geary Noble Dead in Orange Accident on Highway 62 at Nan Drive

 
ORANGE, TX (December 18, 2023) — A 71-year-old man identified as Geary Noble of Orange died in a fiery crash on Wednesday, December 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident took place on Highway 62, at the intersection of Nan Drive at about 6:00 p.m.
 
The initial investigation shows that a Chevrolet Z71 pickup, towing a trailer, moved north on Highway 62. Behind it was a Chevrolet 2500 pickup.
 
Reports said the Chevrolet Z71 slowed to make a left turn onto Nan Drive. Then the Chevrolet 2500 struck its rear, causing the Chevrolet 2500 to catch fire.
 
The Orange County Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Hershel Stagner pronounced Noble, the driver of the Chevrolet 2500, dead at the scene.
 
The 54-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Z71 did not sustain any injuries.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
