TAYLOR, TX (September 16, 2024) – The Taylor Police Department identified 66-year-old Gary Krause who died in a pedestrian accident in the 3700 block of North Main Street on September 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 6:11 AM. Based on a report, Krause was crossing the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 2014 Dodge hit the victim. It was not clear if the collision happened on a crosswalk.
As a result, Krause suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Dodge, 19-year-old Jesus Huicochea, was not hurt in the incident.
 
At this time, no charges are pending.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
