68-Year-Old Charles Henson Killed in Forth Worth Bicycle Accident

 
FORT WORTH, TX (September 16, 2024) — A 68-year-old bicyclist identified as Charles Henson died in a crash on Saturday, September 7.
 
According to the Benbrook Police Department, the accident happened at about 8:00 a.m. in the 7700 block of West Vickery Boulevard.
 
Benbrook Police said Henson rode his bike on West Vickery Boulevard during a group ride with nine other bicyclists. Then a vehicle moving northeast on West Vickery Boulevard made a left turn onto Old Benbrook Road and struck Henson.
 
First responders brought Henson to the hospital, where he died. Reports said Chuck was a retired schoolteacher who was part of the Fort Worth cycling community.
 
According to BPD, the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police said there will be no expected criminal charges.
