Gabriel Magana Dead in DUI Crash on Gateway East Boulevard [El Paso, TX]

Gabriel Magana Identified in El Paso DUI Accident on Gateway East Boulevard

 
EL PASO, TX (July 24, 2023) — A 24-year-old Socorro resident, identified as Gabriel Magana, died in a DUI crash on Friday, July 21.
 
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at 10400 Gateway East Boulevard and Nuevo Hueco Tanks Road.
 
Magana drove his car along Gateway East Boulevard in the early hours of Friday. Then he crashed into the back of a truck near the intersection of Nuevo Hueco Tanks Road.
 
Paramedics transported both drivers to Del Sol Medical Center.
 
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. Magana died at the hospital.
 
Investigators suspect speed and impairment as factors in the crash.
