Pedestrian Gabriel Garcia Hit, Killed in Coachella Hit-and-Run
COACHELLA, CA (October 10, 2022) – Two vehicles escaped after hitting Gabriel Garcia near Cesar Chavez Street and Cairo Street on September 30.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened at approximately 10:24 p.m. in the area of Cesar Chavez Street and Cairo Street.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Garcia from Coachella. Two different vehicles struck him and fled the scene, reports say.
Authorities rushed Garcia to a hospital, where he later died.
The investigation is ongoing, but the witnesses reported different kinds of vehicles. One of the suspected car was seen driving southbound on Cesar Chavez Street.
