Freddy Blondel Killed after Bow Motorcycle Crash on Chuckanut Drive and Sunset Road
BOW, WA (July 11, 2024) — 57-year-old Freddy Blondel of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 23.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the fatal accident occurred on Chuckanut Drive near Sunset Road at about 2:21 p.m.
WSP investigators stated that a 70-year-old woman drove northbound on Chuckanut Drive. At the same, Blondel drove a motorcycle southbound.
Then the woman tried to make a left turn onto Sunset Road. After that, her vehicle hit the motorcyclist. Both vehicles came to a stop and blocked the intersection.
WSP said that troopers responded to the scene. Then Life Flight responded just after the troopers arrived. However, the motorcyclist already succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
According to the WSP, the cause of this accident was failure to yield. Drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash.
