Four Dead in Austin Rollover Accident on 35 Freeway Service Road

 
AUSTIN, TX (August 15, 2023) — Four people died in a rollover crash on 35 Freeway Service Road on Sunday, July 30.
 
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the crash happened in the 5300 block of the 35 Freeway Service Road near Battle Bend Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m.
 
ATCEMS said at least two vehicles were part of the crash. One rolled over and became engulfed in flames when first responders arrived. They pronounced four people dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics also transported two injured patients to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
It is currently unclear what caused the fatal accident.
 
The Austin Police Department handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.
