SACRAMENTO, CA (November 16, 2022) — Five people suffered injuries while officials arrested Brant Filosena after an alleged DUI crash on Truxel Road on Saturday night, November 12.

The incident occurred at around 8:47 p.m. in the 3700 block of Truxel Road, according to the Sacramento Fire Department Law enforcement officials.

Authorities said 44-year-old Filosena drove an SUV through the front of a Natomas Ross store and hit at least five people with his vehicle.

Respondents rendered aid to the victims, all of whom received transportation and treatment to a hospital. Only one of the victims suffered significant injuries while the rest sustained non-life-threatening ones.

Police later arrested Filosena on charges of possession of narcotics, driving under the influence, and parole violation. Filosena is ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in Sacramento County Court on Tuesday.
