Five Hospitalized after Head-On Crash on Highway 3 [Poulsbo, WA]

Five, Including Baby, Sustained Injuries in a Head-On Accident on Highway 3 and Thompson Road

 
POULSBO, WA (September 18, 2023) — Five people sustained injuries, including one infant, after a head-on crash on Highway 3 on Sunday, September 10.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 39-year-old man from Poulsbo drove northbound on Highway 3 at about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 10.
 
Then he swerved out of his lane near the intersection with Thompson Road. After that, he struck a vehicle traveling southbound in the opposite lane.
 
His vehicle crashed into the front driver’s side of the oncoming vehicle. Then it spun to a rest and faced the opposite direction in the center turn lane.
 
Three people occupied the second vehicle, one of them an infant. Paramedics transported a 29-year-old woman from Puyallup, a 34-year-old man from Ravensdale, and a 15-month-old child to St. Michael Medical Center.
 
Medics also rushed a passenger in the first vehicle, a 33-year-old woman from Seattle, to St. Michael as well.
 
Authorities arrested one of the drivers on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault.
