5 Killed after Fiery Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (November 10, 2022) — Five people died after a fiery car accident on Pacific Coast Highway early Sunday morning, November 6.
The fatal collision occurred north of Mugu Rock at around 4:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said a blue 2020 Subaru sedan headed north on the highway, where a 2011 Toyota SUV, with three passengers, traveled southbound. For reasons still unknown, both vehicles collided before bursting into flames.
All five of the people between both of the two vehicles died. Officials have yet to release the identities of the deceased, all of whom are believed to have been adults.
CHP indicated that one of the vehicles went into oncoming traffic. However, it remained unclear which vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic.
No other information is made available at this time. However, the incident is still under investigation.
