PHOENIX, AZ (October 13, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that five people suffered critical injuries in a fiery crash on Loop 101 on October 7.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Thomas Road around 3:15 AM. Based on a report, three vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
By the time first responders arrived, one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames. Everyone made it out of the burning vehicle.
 
As a result, five women in their 20s suffered serious injuries in the crash. Crews took the victims to the hospital in critical condition.
 
The cause of the crash was not yet clear.
