90-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Walnut Avenue in Carmichael

 
CARMICHAEL, CA (May 8, 2023) – Officers confirmed a that a 90-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Walnut Avenue on May 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Fair Oaks Boulevard. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, a woman on her 20s was driving eastbound on Walnut Avenue and heading toward Fair Oaks Boulevard. As the victim crossed during a yellow light, the vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
