TUCSON, AZ (May 4, 2023) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed a fatal pedestrian accident on South Palo Verde Road on May 2.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at East Irvington Road around 10:49 AM. Based on a report, deputies responded and found a person unresponsive at the scene.
 
They learned that the pedestrian was crossing eastbound Palo Verde Road from a Circle K gas station unsafely when a vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the vehicle collaborated with authorities.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
