Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 15, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed a fatal pedestrian accident on Sahara Avenue on August 1.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Las Vegas Boulevard around 6:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the intersection with a man at the time of the crash.
 
Subsequently, a pickup truck hit them during a red light.
 
As a result, both pedestrians suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took them to the hospital, where the woman died. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and did not show any sign of intoxication.
 
At this point , the crash remains under investigation by LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
